Careers in Academia I: Initiating the Job Search

This workshop is designed primarily for a general population of graduate students in their dissertation period and postdoctoral fellows. It will provide information about the academic career search, including how to locate relevant job postings; application materials, deadlines, and processes; and components of successful applications.  *While this session is open to all graduates and postdocs, it will include staff from the Office of International Students and Scholars and focus on the international job search.

2015 Law School Diploma Ceremony

Held in the Devlin Fieldhouse, on the uptown campus, the Law School Diplomas Ceremony will last approximately 2 hours (doors open at 3:00 p.m.)

2015 Commencement: Tulane University Unified Ceremony

Held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the ceremony lasts approximately two hours (doors open at 7:30 a.m.)

Tulane University’s Unified Commencement Ceremony honors the graduates from all of the university’s schools and colleges. It features the pomp and circumstance expected of a traditional Commencement celebration but with a New Orleans twist. At the unified ceremony, you can expect to see the procession of graduates and faculty, the keynote address from a prestigious speaker, the conferral of degrees, and hear live jazz.

PGSA End of Year Annual Picnic in the Park

Bring your friends, bring your families & celebrate the successful completion of the school year!

We’ll gather at the Riverview in Audubon Park (otherwise known as “The Fly”). There will be shelter for shade/rain, but please dress comfortably for hot weather.

What to Bring: Yourself, a guest(s), and a mixed drink (if you wish)

PGSA will be providing food, drinks, beer, and wine for the event.

This event has been cancelled due to insufficient response. Dr. Sloan and Dr. Bender will select another date towards the start of the fall semester, when everyone is well rested and not under finals pressure.
