Core Curriculum

The M.S. in International Development requires a total of thirty-six credit hours.
Eighteen of these credits are earned through core requirements, while the remaining eighteen are earned through electives which may be taken within the Payson Center or other Tulane departments upon approval. However, please note that one-week, three credit courses will not be accepted towards the Payson Center degrees (M.S. or Ph.D.).

Transfer Credit

Students may apply to transfer up to twelve credit hours from previous graduate coursework, subject to approval by an Academic Advisor from the Payson Center. To be considered for transfer credit, graduate work done at another institution or in another division of Tulane University must carry a grade of B or better and must have been completed no more than four years from the date of first registration for graduate work.
