Masters Thesis In International Development

All students pursuing a M.S. in International Development have the option of completing a Masters Thesis under the guidance of a formal committee and orally defending the thesis. A student opting to complete a thesis will only be required to complete thirty credit hours. He/she will register for six hours of Independent Study in the semester in which the thesis is being written. The subject of the thesis for all master’s degrees must be in the field of major study and must have the approval of the professor by whom the thesis is to be directed. The finished thesis must have the approval of a committee appointed by the university chair of the department. The director of the thesis will serve as chair of the thesis committee. At the request of the director, a member of some other department may be added to the committee.
