Strategic press conference with UNDP, USMA Panama and Executive Director of Payson Center

On September 6th, Payson Center Executive Director, Colin Crawford, the Catholic University of Santa María la Antigua (USMA) and the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) held a press conference at USMA in Panama City to announce an innovative opportunity for prospective graduate students who want to pursue a Masters in International Development at Tulane University, with a year of study and a United Nations internship in Panama City, and a year of study in New Orleans. Those admitted will start classes in January 2014.

The conference was attended by Professor Carlos A. Voloj Pereira, Rector of the USMA, Dr. Hector Alexander, Dean of Postgraduate General USMA, Colin Crawford, Executive Director, Payson Center for International Development, Tulane University Law School and Freddy Justiniano Director Regional Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean, UNDP.

With this program, students can complete half of their studies at USMA, incorporating two semesters of field work with the United Nations Regional Center for Latin America and the Caribbean. Participants can choose to spend the first year in Panama City or New Orleans.
