Amnesty and Transitional Justice in Brazil after Twenty Years of Democratic Rule of Law: Why Now?

Marcelo D. Torelly is currently a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School. He has served as adviser to the Brazilian Ministry of Justice on Transitional Justice issues and as the manager of the Transitional Justice Exchange and Development Program (a joint project of Brazil’s federal government and the UNDP), in addition to teaching law at Brasília Catholic University.
