Two Graduate Students sought for Research Assistant Positions

The Payson Center is looking for two research assistants to work with Drs. William Bertrand and Elke de Buhr on a variety of tasks related to their work on child labor and wellbeing and with a focus on the international efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor in the West African cocoa sector.

What you will work on: Anything needed, including tasks related to survey design and implementation, review of relevant literature, writing and editing, website development, preparation of training materials, etc.

They are looking for interested, motivated graduate students who are able to commit between 10 and 20 hours per week for work at the Payson Center’s main office at 300 Hebert Hall on the Tulane Uptown campus. They are in particular looking for students with a combination of some of the following skills:

  • Very good English writing and editing skills
  • French (esp. if you are a native speaker)
  • Website development skills
  • Data analysis skills (SPSS)
